sp123- I know you had some bad luck with your PE Bananas. I hope I can repair any short comings loooong before I put the boat together.
Like I said, I looked the boat over really good twice now. Once when I first looked at it, and again before I loaded and paid for it.
At this point, I am considering pulling all of the stringers and bulkheads, and replacing them with Coosa. Also web between all of the stringers and bulkheads for added protection. This will take out any questions as far ad hull to structure bonds, and future delamination of wood/glass parts.
My only concern is that you said that your hull bottom actually started peeling apart. Other than cutting my hull apart, I have not way of inspecting this at this point.

If you cut the stringers out you really need to have a bunk style setup or something similar at the very least or else you could get a bow in the bottom of the hull. I think it will be an awesome boat though. Make sure you glass the deck on when the time comes. From what i understand the 8 foot beam really sets it apart from the other 24 footers makes it act like a much bigger boat.
what is the stringer layout like?

If I do infact have to cut the stringers out, I will make a cradle for the boat with at least 3 sets of bunks so she is held straight and true.
Glassing the deck to the hull goes with out saying.
I am looking forward to start working on her.

time has allowed for some forward progress, but not very far forward.
I moved to boat over to my driveway from my yard. I moved it to make some room to put down a pad, and build a shelter for the boat.
I cut off the shrink wrap and have started to look at the boat.
I will be pulling the top cap before it goes into the shelter.
I am happy that there are no holes anywhere in the hull, I can plan out where I want everything.
