Very Cool Rick! We'll have to hook up sometime when you finish.

Hey Chris - you've got another thing in common with my dad besides boats - he is also a black belt in Karate. He used to have a studio in our basement. I never trained formally - only with him...which was great 'til I started getting bigger and then broke his ribs with a kick one day (OOOPPPS!!!) I think I have an old article of his in "Black Belt" magazine I'll have to dig out....

I have never driven it, it is a project at this point. Previous owner claims mid to high 50's with the 200, I think more like low 50. My plan is to keep it light, it has no cabin right now, and the 3 man bolster I have weighs less than 100 pounds, and put a 250 on it. hope to see high 50's.

Chatim, When we have a boat running(buddies 280baja is in Custom paint mode for a little longer, and I sold my old Wellcraft), we frequent LakeBoca, and Peanut Island in the early part of the day, with late afternoon/evenings either at Bananna Boat, or Shooters. I hope to get going on the project first of the new year, and have it on the water for the 4'th of July.

Here are a few pics.

That looks like a fun project. :D

Are you gonna flip it over and blueprint the bottom?

Excellent boat Rick - looks like you have your work cutout for ya but will be a great boat when you are done. Will look for you guys next summer.... Have you been down to see Jo and Pepe at the Pantera factory? I'm trying to get down there one of these days...

PS - I think I have some old Pantera brochures if you are interested - I'll make you a copy and mail - PM me a mailing address.

Pantera Rick,

I agree with Charlie, I spent a day in Miami about 4 years ago at the Pantera factory. Pepe and Jo Nunez went out of their way to show me their operation. Really nice people.

As far as boat stands, If it is just for a short period of time, a boat yard with great customer service will let you borrow a set for a nominal fee or you might talk them into selling you a pair for a reasonable amount of DP's...

If all that fails, get some strong lumber and build your own.
