Of course we would have to offer the usual assortment of Mercury products, but I would think for my own ride in a 28, I was thinking more along the line of a single 572 GM crate engine with the Imco drive that is equal to the #6 Mercrusier drive.

Maybe balance & blueprint the engine a bit, and turn that 625 stock hp up to 700 but still running on pump gas.

A gentleman's runabout with the horsepower to keep you up with the crowds, but always, always reliable. Nice for a Saturday evening dinner ride with some friends and a Sunday afternoon wave jumping trip.

Subtle and simple but making a statement all the time.

Bilt-Rite Upholstery is still in business, moved to Virginia. The buckets shown in your boats are still being produced. I'll take a look in the scrap book for your pictures.

Haven't you been surprised how little things have changed with instrumentation? Other than fancy anodized bezels, the cockpits look like a '60s vintage 707. Why hasn't anyone introduced an integrated "avionics" cockpit and gotten away from all this point-to-point wiring? Seems like a single FMS-style setup using bus technology would be a big improvement.[/QUOTE]
FMS? With a legs and progress page? Doug

G-man....here are some larger bananas for you to start thinking about.....as far as which boat can outrun the other, it all depends on the nut behind the wheel....

Air Dog ...calm down boy....you can show 'em in person when that green banana gets moving.
