Update #3
Spent some time at the "Stock Pot" yesterday. This is a water bar/resturant in Portsmouth, New Hampshire to see if they would be interested in hosting a power boat "Cruize"...
It would make a good starting point for the August event.
What do you guy's think about a multi-port event.
Portsmouth, NH to Newburyport, Mass to Annisquam River to the floating bar off of Beverly, Mass then return?
Each place could be a checkpoint. The first one to each checkpoint gets to have bragging rights as the other boats arrive after him/her.
It would be like having many races...I mean "Cruizes"...
That would be a very scenic route too.
Each leg would be like 35-40 minutes...

Hello Charlie, yes we have confirmed that we are in fact Banana's...
One of my best friends flies a Black Hawk helicopter out of New Hampshire and said he would be happy to take photos of the August event, only problem is they slapped a red cross on the side of his huey and shipped him to Iraq. He is currently vacationing in Baghdad...
Other friend with a small airplane said he could do it...

Banana Fun Run's 2005
Well I guess I have failed as an event planner.
So far nobody wants to have a Banana Boat gathering...
I have signed on to be a patrol boat for the June 11th, 12th races on Cape Cod.
I still plan on going up the Charles River for the 4th of July.
Maybe I was too over zealous. Maybe nobody's boat is really ready to go until like late July anyway? Maybe there are not enough Banana Boats? Maybe nobody likes me...
I think I will focus on one event instead of trying to be "Julie McCoy the cruize director"...
I like the idea of a poker run style, multi port event in August, somewhere in Massachusetts.

Re: Banana Fun Run's 2005
We should be ready by late June. Would love to go to the cape but with driving to FL the weekend before I won't even have the boat on the new trailer untill that weekend. Then it gets a new cockpit cover fitted on the 15th. So a later date would be better for us. Next year we will be there though.
