I got lucky in 94. My neighbour came home from work sick and there was a dually in my driveway and two fellas hovering around the front of my power play. They saw him, jumped in the truck and split. When I arrived home, I found 2 of 3 locks cut with a cut off disc lying on the ground and the third was halfway cut thru. This was in an average subdivision in broad daylight. BIG BALLS these theivin bastids have!

SAR

We don't go in for the cement over shoes thing up here. We prefer a shovel and a couple million acres of wilderness, a shallow grave and a few wolves :)

ratdude, I moved out of Toronto less than one month later to a quiet little town 30 miles north. Figured things would be safer there. WRONG!!! I lost a chevy 4x4 with a brand new skidoo in the back and all my sledding gear. I was leaving for a vacation the morning I discoverd my driveway had some unused space it didn't have the night before :(

So, I moved again to a better hood. Concreted a big anchor into the ground before paving a new driveway. My cat and trailer are locked to that with heavy hardened chain, the wheels are locked with the same type of chain, the trailer is chained to an enclosed 20 foot snowmobile trailer and the tongue has a hardned stainless lock on it. I leave my crew cab parked infront of that and have a hidden immobilizer on the truck so they are really gonna have to work for it next time :)

Same story, different type of recreational vehicle. Went snowmobiling in St agte (spell check) last year. One of the guys in my party got his brand new gmc 2500 diesel stolen along with the trailer and two brand new ski doo 1000's. Next weekend my buddies h2 had locks ripped out of the doors and took key out of dash for remote starter. Luckily the guy cut the key in half and they couldnt start it, so they proceeded to f-ck the thing up instead. Truck was 15 feet away from our motel rooms, there were about 20 of us sleeping. These theives have big b-lls or big guns.

I was given a very stern warning by the cop in my episde.......He said if anything suddenly "happens" to this guy "although it would be certainly understandable".......I'll be the first place they come.......believe me all kinds of things went through my head......

I hope it's o.k. that i posted a link to another boating site.
I only post it because it's a recent event and a true reminder to all of us to beware !
