Art, I just saw this post. I can really empathize.
I myself am a NYC firefighter and have seen much more death and destruction and heartache than I was ready to deal with. 911 was terrible, and I spent countless hours at the site. Was still finding bodies in late April '02.
I had my girlfriend the love of my life leave me for an older man with alot of money, a month after 911. I ended up taking her back in 2004 for about 5 months and she went back to that other guy while I was in Texas picking up a nice car I bought on ebay to drive her and her son to nice places like great adventure etc... I even spent thousands to have my teeth cosmetically fixed. 2 years ago 2 friends died when they had to jump out of a fire building in the Bronx. I had worked there a few weeks before in that company and was working that day. Several fireman have commited suicide either indirectly or directly since 911. The first one was Gary C.
He lost his best friend and roommate on 911 his mother died and his girlfriend left him all in the same month. He was a great guy that did so much to help others. I cried heavily over that one. I could go on like the cat I loved dying last year. Or even worse my ex girl call me and tell me her son is doing poorly in school, she's seeing this new guy and he doesn't treat her as good as I did and he's not as sweet and so on. Then I asked her what she see's in him and she couldn't answer. Then I asked if he had a nice house and alot of money and she said oh yeah but that's not why I like him, but it helps. Obviously that sent me out on a really good bender and a half !
Anyway I have some parts. Let me know what trim cyls #'s and hardware you need and I'll get them to you. Make up a really good list with part numbers.
Try to avoid the pain pills. I had knee surgury too 4 years ago. Last year I blew out my back really bad and was on them and for me the 750's hydrocodone was about as helpful as a tic-tac ! I don't believe in anti inflamatory pills etc. They are very bad for you. I like to drink too and if you can't drink while taking the pills they can't be good for you. Dead doctors don't lie is a cassette that totally exposes some of the biggest theives the drug companies !
More people die because of problems caused by prescription medicine than all other causes.
Try to avoid junk food and soda especially. This will make you feel better.
The people that stole this stuff don't have the blessing of having a good conscience, and are outside of God's love and will have a troubled painful life.
This individual or individuals don't get the satisfaction and inner peace that results from helping others and always doing the right thing ,with trust and faith in others.
It sucks to see good people suffer. It hurts God's heart too.

man so sorry to hear the bad news, you are a hero to me and others I am sure being a firefighter. I saw the doc to day he wants me to try a 5 shot treatment before anymore surgery, so I said allright I am on the 650/10 percs up to 5 aday for now he said and it still hurts , my back I tryed the injections and that didn't work either, yes I have been changing my diet my cl was 270 my trics were 400 I think so they put me on tricor for 3 mons.the rams are bravo ,I am going see how much new is because I am trading in a going no where 401 it has 4000gs so after taxes I should have money for a carb and misc stuff. I do have a Alarm in there now and will have either boat or home owners insurance cover it before anything goes on. I hope to be on the water by july or aug even if its just for short runs like last fall 20 to 45 mins on the water towing back to and from 1 1/2 hours round trip 45 each way. my wife gave me a dead to be back to work by jan to day she wants to quit work and I got pissed you think this is fun for me.her girlfriend put the bug in her air about this, so I said I hope I DON'T WAKE UP FROM THE NEXTED SURGERY THEN YOU WON'T have to work between my life insurances she can quit last yr I worked part time because comp said they would pay for my surgery so its been since aug that I have been out full but it started in 04 and have had 3 knee operations and was in the O R 6 times for my back in july and aug getting shots and the last was to burn the nerve endings which didn't work. well sorry for the banter and thanks for being brave and a firefighter call me if you want to I'd like to talk 617 833 3327 god bless you and to keep you safe BILL ,art

JUST WANT TO THANKS TO TRICK MARINE AND JC PERFORMANCE for the help with the flame arrester FRED, and JEFF with the steering rams. There are others that I have been talking to about helping me you guys are the best. and do you want me to wear NY caps this yr I will if you want HA HAH I was real quite this weekend with the yanks and soxs playing my friends were whats with you, cause I didn't root for either team. BUT I WILL IF YOU GUYS WANT me to root for the yanks,I'll go buy a hat. WELL ITS HOT AND I NOT .Well got a msd today, carb spacer, fuel line. have flame arrester thanks to fred steering rams thanks to jeff, Billys working on trim rams and thats it. I cashed in 401 or something like that I could since I am not working being out injuried for 3gs so I need a 2'' shortie that will cover that and some other stuff. and by fall or winter I should have money for a used drive. oh well so much for this yr again. I am getting my next surgery on the 15th of june maybe I won't wake and this nightmare will be over. my is is starting to drink to much and if her mom fines out it kill her . she is worried about being a pain now to us and Itell her its fine call any time .we see her on weekends every means other things are not getting done here I wish she would sell her house and move here above the garage we could extend it out.so it looks no so good for artime this summer I really hoped everything work out and I would be in the water in july or aug but it doesn't look it thats my luck its like Ginos put I am broke it was nice hitting 83 on the test runs last fall I still think the guy behind did it and they called the cops on me for threats well I am going wine in my beer. talk to you later artie

Hey Art I have been following this thread but this is my first post. First off I want to say I am sorry for all the bad luck. It seems we have the same luck just with different circumstances. I admire your courage in these days of misery and I hope things get better for you. well I have it its new in the box 3400 bucks, just got to order a new 2''shortie, trim rams are coming new also a old friend got me a real good price on new rams, lines, bolts nuts washers . nexted will be the carb in the fall so next spring I should hit the water. and racing I'll skip I think just have fun, poker runs, use it since it has no time on it since I got hurt in 04.I''ll hang out and have some fun. BUT if I land a tuna size sponsor that I have talked to a little himm I 'll race thanks for the guys who called me and talked to me after the loss of DOUG.
