robbie, you must have just got off the phone with him when i called. robbie summed it up, he is at the hospital with his father in law who had a heart attack.

Everything always kicks you in the balls at once, and thats whats happening to him.

Art -- good talking to you. if you need anything, you have my number, feel free to call.

That's terrible news about his father-in-law with all the other issues going on right now...glad he's ok and didn't do anything to regret today.

bouyhunter 03-06-2007 05:00 PM

Well, that's good news, (sort of).
I'm sorry to hear about his father-in-law, but glad to hear he's OK.
I have to admit I was checking this thread several times today hoping he had posted.
I'm glad you guys called him. Thanks for the report.

[QUOTE=Audiofn;2048169]Hey Art. I think that you saw what I am going through the last week with the loss of my very good friend snow mobiling with me last week. Lost another friend to bad health, my cat is sick, my refridgerator is freezing everything in it, lost my cell phone, wife and I are cleaning up cat puke all over the house today :(. Some times we get tested big time. For what ever reason you and I seem to be getting tested at the same time. I would give up my outdrives, new blower motors, anything to have my friends back. It could be worse!!! I am taking a easy day today just kind of chilling out and doing paper work/billing. Let me know if you want me to run down there to help ya out.

Jon

Never had anything stolen from my boat but I had a motorhome that got broken into once (this was back in the early '90s). It just so happened that the piece of crap was still in it when I got home around 1AM. As I was walking past it to go into my house, I heard a squeak(like from the suspension); wondered why this rather large heavy object would squeak for no reason.

As soon as I entered, the guy stood up and started saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry". He has already pried my TV loose and had it on the floor behind him.

Unfortunately for him, he wasn't a minor and he had long stringy hair which was really easy for me to grab and pull him out to my driveway. I proceeded to teach him why he shouldn't be stealing peoples stuff..................... He took a hell of a beating that ended up earning him a broken nose, a hand full of missing teeth, a significant amount of hair loss, and various scrapes and abrasions. My Bride called the police and they came and got him and took him first to the hospital, and then to jail.

He was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering. I think he got a years probation or something silly like that. I never had any trouble after that...........................mmm, go figure

The moral of the story; don't swipe other peoples stuff

A guy once pulled a gun on my older brother at a party he held at his house. I saw this and after he concealed the gun I kicked his knee from behind and jumped on him to restrain him. Others joined in and I was able to dis-arm him. I harshly dragged him to the front porch, pushed him through the screen door (which broke) and punched him in the face. He fled. Twenty minutes later I was arrested, not him. He pressed full charges.

I did three days in jail, 30 days house arrest, 3 years probabtion, $6500 legal fees and fines, ordered to attend Level-3 alcohol awareness program, community service and, one year of weekly anger mgmt training.

Despite being a verteran of the Airborne Infantry and a former Golden Gloves Boxer, I have learned to never define myself, my family or friends, and my property.

I had experience with funerals when I was teen and sad to say miss most this one I will have to put together thursday .donna and her brother and mother are real bad so my dad told me to be strong .its not that feel bad for myself but for them the people I love the though of her mother waking up to no one in the morning,my wife not seeing him doing the holidays daddys little girl. out of three guys she date for along time.he did not like the 1st two 1 end up being mean and a kun fu a hole beating guys up ,2nd called off there wedding then came back after we meet she stayed with him for 2 more months and then broke it off after her father talked sense to her and said he will hurt up again. when it came to me this guy up too. after stranding his Donna twice 4 weeks apart once in p town with a bunch of friends the boat died 19ft so we got rooms but sleep with clothing on:eek: , once on duxbury beach after I threw the keys on the dash and they went down the vent:eek: he had a long talk with me told me who important donna was to him and I said yes sir. he told her he could tell I was good guy but a mans man meaning I will want to do or be with the guys, anything fast or go out and hang and if she could lieve with that I seem to be very humble and we have been married 20yrs.I looked up to him he was smart and would alls help the not so smart guys like me.he would never look down on anyone volunteer at aschools now that he was retired I do'nt know if this made sense I just wanted to tell you guys how nice he was and I can't believe he's gone, my wife thought the 1st to go would be my father who is a mess like me but 25yrs older than me or me with other stuff besides my knee and back.its 1.15am Im going to try to sleep I'LL talk later to day if anyone wants to talk thanks so much from the bottom of my heart artie
