You got it, my man. You're the first one to come to mind because my last Trick order was for some Marine Clean (which by the way is super awesome, I love it!!! )....anyway, I placed an order for marine clean on 08-16-07 via their website. Not even 20 minutes later Fred calls me. He says he is currently out of stock and is waiting for a new shipment from Donnie; he asked if I wanted my money back and place a new order or just let it ride and just wait for the new shipment. I said to just let my order ride and I'll wait it out. A week and a half later, I have my marine clean. So, again, to this day I've had nothing but success with Trick, and I've enjoyed conversing with Fred over the years......that's why this is so difficult. I do, however understand and appreciate everyone's frustration.

Good luck to all.

I have no idea what is going on with Fred. He always treated me great. I understand those involved posting but, just pilling on makes you look like an ass...

Do you have any idea of what things Fred said to or called people over the BS deal? Me included and I wasn't even a member of the BS fan club.

Fred was pointing the finger and calling names while while doing the same thing as BS did. Its like the arsonist standing around the burning building while pointing at the guy having a smoke and yelling "HE DID IT".

Maybe thats why Fred deleted every single post he made about the BS affair. He knew it might come back to haunt him later once he was outed as perpetrating his own SCAMS on the good members of OSO. Truth is, you take money, you never deliver promised product, you are a SCAMMER. Period.

Its really a sad state of affairs but it is the way it is at present. Fred is MIA. Several people, both customers and suppliers are out a big whack o cash and the whole thing reeks of dishonesty.

Fred's dishonesty. Sorry, but he truely deserves any comment directed at him or referring back to the BS affair.

Saying he is a scammer is not right, I don't really think the man started out to scam anyone, as I would think he had the best of intentions - help people with needs and make a living. Obviously he under-estimated a few things. Now, he is just too embarrassed as a business failure can really slam the ego and pride. And this thread, although a good tool to warn others, is most likely tearing him apart inside. He is in survival mode now.

If this forum does not want the truth from someone that knows and would rather keep guessing I'll be more than happy to remove all my posts. Seriously. But I really doubt that's the case.

As far as your last statement I would think it would be Fred's place to take care of those customers and not anyone else. After all he's the one that solicited their business. I hope that happens as Joy stated it would and everyone ends up with an equitable and fair solution to all this. Just my opinion.
First, your post was a bit less of a bash of Trick's business practices than some of the others. Yet, for any competitor to come on here and say, in essence, "you should have known- it's your own fault for buying cheap" adds insult to injury.

Second, I don't think any of Trick's competitors or suppliers have enlightened this issue to any greater degree by competitor's posts. Issues with Trick's deliveries have been broadly discussed for months. Trick's collapse didn't take a clairvoyant to figure out. You reference "guessing" and "rumors". I don't think anyone's guessing about, nor does anyone truly care about the background here. Folks with a dog in this fight want one of two things- their products or their money refunded. They don't want to know the background on Fred's business practices and supplier squabbles. As far as rumors, Trick isn't answering the phone or shipping product. That's well beyond the rumor stage. We did get a rant from Fred's daughter about how we're all spoiled rich a$$holes though.

Lastly, you are correct- it is Trick's responsibility. Unfortunately it isn't happening. Mine was a suggestion that you are free to take or dismiss. If I were financially caught up in this and a vendor offered me a one-time port in the storm, I know I'd be their customer for life.

Bull$hit.

You man up, answer the phone, explain what's going on and apologize. Then you tell people how you're going to fix it.

As far as embarrassed, it's embarrassing to fart at your wife's tea party. When you take someone's money and not give them what they paid for, well, embarrassed doesn't apply. Plus, by looking at PACER (fed courts online system) this ain't Fred's first trip to the rodeo.

I'd have to agree with the comment that his competitors are making themselves look bad here also...

What someone "started out to do" and what they ended up doing are not necessarily the same thing.

Read what Fred, as owner of Trick Marine has done.

Buy inventory, do not pay for it then switch suppliers, that Sir is "Scamming".

Sell inventory, cash the check and never deliver product. That Sir is "scamming".

Consistantly LIE about deliveries, product availability, shipping times. Thats Sir is a "Scammer".

No two ways about it.

I am not saying Fred started Trick Marine with the intentions of becomming a "Scammer" but it is what he became. Even now, he is hiding from those he owes right here on OSO while having a fire sale on E Bay. Thats downright dishonest. My bet is you won't find too many Judges who look at it differently.
