It did.

It didnt say you needed to own the boat.

If you dont own a boat or if you have one that has lived its life in your driveway or in the back of a warehouse or someones shop its nice if you have friends that will share your love of the sport and big water by inviting you boating.

There is a huge difference between 2 people if one says " I have never owned a boat but love the water and all that goes with this sport" and the other person that has never owned a boat that has been in water that says " I am a boat racer that has owned every significant boat ever manufactured , fallen out of them at speed 3 times blah blah blah"

Next ??

OOPS

Yeah...and drinking with your boating friends while not operating the boat.

How I forgot that point with the crew I was surrounded with this winter is beyond me.

Strange, I always thought it was the scam artists, liars, thieves, and other predatory personalities that were the turn off.

Alcohol+brain cells = less brain cells.

I don't target anyone because they post on SOS. Do I want SOS to expire? Yes, because it is owned by an evil man and he uses it as a platform for skullduggery. Sorry, but the two cannot be seperated.
While I can appreciate your respecting people that walk away from Sunkin in relative silence, I simply cannot do that in this case. Bilking a sick childrens charity is too offensive to me. As long as Sunkin remains, I will never let it go. It's not BS, it's a real...living...breathing....threatening problem. It must be faced and stopped. It cannot be allowed to continue and grow.
Lastly, yes...powerboating is a truely a great sport.

Well it appears anything I post you are going to tailor to suit your needs because after all, you're Alec, owner of the 44 Nortech and more money than Kid Rock. It seems many have a personal agenda here, and your has always been "look at me and look what Ive done" (boat rides, charity money, etc). Remember this quote?

I bet damn well you wouldnt make a donation out of the goodness of your heart to a charity like that unless it was made public. Prove me wrong and make a generous donation to that same charity without making it public on here and I will NEVER post on this thread or subject again. You have my word. Email me the details and proof of the donation and I will never bring it up again. This is merely pennies to you, so it should present no challenge, you'll get to shut me up and its a win/win situation for the kids. Looking forward to your PM.

But the alcohol only kills off the slow brain cells. And that makes you smarter

My .02 - I've refrained from posting in most of this. I've watched most of it unfold but haven't watched the last couple of weeks as much since it has turned into mud slinging and a witch hunt. Yes, Chris has been nothing but nice to Tony and I, has helped out out etc. I know many of you have similar stories. There's no getting around the fact he seems to have posted many stories that can be traced elsewhere. I can't defend any of that and I don't intend to.

Honestly, most of this has turned me off of intenet boating forums. I only frequent our site and occasionally the Donzi forums.

Tony's point (I think) and the one I'm trying to make is that because we enjoyed what Serious stood for, doesn't mean I/we can defend the choices he's made. Just because you post on a certain site doesn't make you a target for the mudslinging. The people I respect out of this the most out of this are CigDaze, Craig, Expensive Date, and AirPacker. Good post, However, I stopped posting on serious in Dec of 09, I walked away no different than the 4 you mentioned, except I sent Chris an email letting him know what i thought of him, no different than the 4 that offered to purchase the site. so what does that make me in your eyes? I'm, curious, because I'm no different than either you or tony, I was the sole person that invited Chris To Cambridge, where he met Ted and Craig for the first time..hell I was the one that introduced them, am I less a person because I told Chris he is full of sh!t. I enjoyed what serious originally stood for as I was there in the beginning as well, I mean this with no disrespect, however the fact that I tell someone to stop lying to me and everyone else makes me a bad person??? huh go figure, I would think that people would like to boat amongst boaters that dont lie, and actually have boats..what was I thinking?
I wrote my original letter to Chris in Dec of 09, and walked away, never said a word to anyone, you guys probably didnt even know I was gone. in late Feb early March I was contacted by a couple of the 4 you mentioned and they asked me for clarification on a few things and I did. I never said a word to anyone other than a couple of my closest friends who also kept silent while the 4 you mentioned checked into things. Yet you only respect them? I bet you wouldn't feel the same if I was helping to out someone that did you wrong! I don't want or need anyone's respect but you need to realize that Chris Sunkins lies affected many more people than those you mentioned, quite a few in small town Ohio, this goes much deeper than "internet" boating. Real boating is either owning one or participating by being there and supporting it, not Lying about it. You can call it whatever you want, like me, not like me, but Chris sunkin is a Liar and a theif. and as Ed posted he and his site need to go away, as long as it is there, new people are out there ready to fall for his lies, the same ones he told everyone on oso over 7 years.
