I understand its the principle of the matter , and a grand is a grand, but being a business owner myself i realize the cost and risk of doing business. If he sold the prop for a 1k he probably had 500 in it, maybe !! The deposit should cover the cost of the item, before you ship. you will always have some "shrinkage" Dirt Bags are out there. you can pretty much expect to get ripped off every now and then. But just how Stressed out over this do you really wanna get ? Lets face it the guy lives out of the country.. Send him to collections and move on...

I think I'll pay him in advance. Heck I might even send him some money now on the unlikely chance we'll ever do business

Ok, so Brett lets this one guy get away with stealing it. What about the next guy? Or the one after that? If everyone sees that Brett is a relentless motherphucker who WILL get either his props or his money, people will pay their bills with him.

The deposit was just the test fee. Didnt you even read the BBlades test program guidelines?? Hell, they only charge $200 to test a #6 Herring, and those are like $5k props. Basically because Brett is trying to help people out with their prop setups, it is expected that he should get screwed. Remind me never to do business with you.

I have spoken to brett on many occasions, I am familiar with his program. I am simply saying that in order to prevent what has happened 100% you must secure enough deposit to protect yourself as a business before you ship your product. In other words phuck the 200.00 deposit, secure the whole amount on the credit card, and release the hold if the prop comes back. and then charge accordingly. i would require a ss# as well to keep on file. these days you can't even rent a carpet cleaner without your social security #. Brett is basically in the rental business. Try before you buy. gotta protect yourself.
