Yea my buddy sent me the info. I called and talked to Dave seemed like a good guy. I'm building an engine and doing some other work on a buddys boat (flat bottom v-drive) so I had him send a check because he said he wasn't taking Paypal anymore because of a couple people screwing him over ( That's a good one) Got the wedding honeymoon story and the lost shipping info story also. Still waiting. Called and left a message today and sent a pm still waiting. Mike

I sure hate to hear all this. ive talked to him lots and seems to be a great guy. im into him for 8 grand now and waiting on everything to be put together. I sure hope my deal dont go bad.

Just thought I would let you know I've been talking to David the last couple of days and I now have a tracking no#. I should have my parts Thurs. He said he tried to call the UPS store on thurs a few times and couldn't get a hold of anyone so he drove there and the carb was still there and they wouldn't ship it because it smelled like gas and they didn't call him so it sat there, so he cleaned it up and it shipped on Thurs. The UPS store he uses for packing and shipping sounds like it's not very good. I do have to say David has always got back to me at some point whenever I tried to contact him. I didn't push to hard for my carb because I didn't need it yet and his prices were very good.I know that shoudn't matter but I never got the sense he was trying to scam me so I kind of just let it ride. I probably should have and I probably would have have gotten it sooner. Mike

good to hear, he is a great guy to deal with he always responds to me within 48 hrs or less. and i know from up here in canada UPS is a joke. they charge you hard up here.

Well I got my carb last week and it was no where near what he claimed it to be. When I opened the box it reeked of old gas. I had to take it apart and flush it out right away it made the garage reek. He claimed it was painted black when installed but the paint is in the corosion pits and some of the air jets on top were plugged up with it(He said he ran it on an engine 6 months ago LOL) I have to completely go thru the carb but at least I got my parts:lolhit: I can save it but I didn't think I was going to have to rebuild it when he said it had just been gone thru by his buddy.At least I don't have to listen to the excuses anymore and in the end I will have a carb. Well that sure does not sound good, im into him for 8 grand. I ask for pictures all the time and never recieve any and when he did send me one this week it was of a used gen 4 short block. not of a fresh from the machine shop gen v block. his excuse was he sent the wrong picture, a few days later and still no picture of my gen 5 short block. I contacted a laywer and visa today they both said cancel my transactions to him as june 20th my 90 days is up for disputes. I am really not sure what to do anymore! :readinghelp:
