Before I say something out of line.......
A friend purchased a fresh engine off of a member here, it was advertised as fresh with no hours, balanced and assembled by a reputable builder for a good amount of $$$
He gets it home a 24 hour drive and there is carbon in the exhaust ports, he was told it had over 400hp I pulled the valve cover to find peanut port heads that are deff not fresh. I questioned the seller and through the buyer was told to go f.;ck myself. How would you guys handle this????? |
i just bought a motor and im waiting for it to arrive. hope i dont run into this problem too. i would take a couple more days and go drop it through the deck of his boat!!
|
Hmm there's 1 strong opinion, stronger than I was thinking but appreciate the input!
|
Call him out on here....
|
dont want to go there if not neccesary like to make sure i'm 100% in the right. too many times people are called out under a misunderstanding. seems pretty clear to me but you never know
|
doesnt seem like a misunderstanding according to your swap shop post

what ya think?
heres the pm i sent maybe a little more accusatory than questioning but i dont think it deserved a go fu$k yourself reply "Hey what's the deal with this motor you sold kyle? It's a 330 at best and it's not fresh the exhaust ports have carbon in them. He bought it because you said it was a 425hp 468. It's got 1014156 heads that are peanut ports. Is the bottom end old 330 cast junk?" __________________ |
Paint looks fresh !!!

pic is def not fresh valvetrain. bottom end freshen up maybe?? scrap those stock heads and buy those dart 308's in the swap shop and make some power. bummer of a situation tho
|
First I would say that before I called someone out I would make sure I knew without a doubt that he was cheated. Once that has been confirmed then call him out. It will be way better for everyone involved if attornies dont have to get involved to reach an acceptable agreement but if you cant then consider that route too.
