Seller refunded $250. Still pissed, sold the short block to a local guy for $500 as an unknown 330, is what it is take it for what you see deal. Never pulled the pan because I could see it wasn't going to get us anywhere and logistics made returning it impossible. Email me for pics if you want. [email protected]

Thats to bad, sucks to get screwed by a member, someone you think you can trust. I always tell myself its a few hundred bucks for a good lesson learned :angry-smiley-038:, still cheaper then college............ better luck next time.

Yep been moving and securing boats for 3 days now. My new hoist makes it much easier to get them off the trailer!

So $250 bought silence?

The engine was rebuilt at some unknown shop but merely
balanced at Mesa Balancing? Pantera24 wants to talk but not
put anything into writing on this forum? Did anyone bother to
question the folks at Mesa balancing as to what they did or
know of this engine? How about what the engine builder said
when questioned?

Man I can smell the rotting carp all the way up here. :lolhit:

To be honest I just forgot to post the pictures and the details. Didn't bother with Mesa balancing as I knew what was going to come from that.

well i bought a short block from a fellow member on here for $1k ...he insisted it was 100% not to touch it...i met him at machine shop and left motor there for full rebuild. I got it back put it in the boat and drive it for a few hours--WOW the block is cracked !!!

"$1000 lesson if its too good to be true its too good to be true!!" walk away and do things the right way ....nothing is for nothing in life especially $$$$
