[QUOTE=bowtie;3801431]If you read my previous post eariler on this thread you would see that is exactly what I said. The only reason to expect your deposit back is if the boat didn't perform as advertised in the test ride. And it has to be in the contract. This thread is about a verbal agreement, nowhere is it written that the deposit will be returned if the buyer just changes his mind. End of story.
End of story? Who the f*** died and made you boss?
Plus you plagerized my line btw...Real cerebral Enstein!
Ahhh yeah... Verbal agreements don't normally have things written...duh
This thread is about a thief stealing a guys five grand or an idiot being scammed out of his five grand but its not a thread about a verbal agreement that's just one fact in a story with a lot of holes and a thread with a bunch of opinons on how business should be conducted and we all know what they say about opinons.

Wow, all that in one sentence. Talk about Enstein, whoever that might be.

I am really shocked this post is still open. Legend Marine is a paid sponsor here. Right or wrong they will close this post. OSO doesn't want the truth.

I agree you take your item off the market 1 day or 6 months you loose buyers!Don't leave a deposit unless you have the money or approved for the money to buy item!?This may be the case here???$5k is a lot of money to put down unless you are 100% buying it!!MY 02!

Why don't some of these people understand that. Why would you put 5 thousand down if you don't know if you want it, haven't even seen it? That's what I was trying to say, if a deposit only works to protect the buyer, then it doesn't work.

right or wrong...Legend has made a bad business decision because they have lost more than 5K in sales based on this one "deposit" deal.
From where I come from, it is called "Pennywise and Dollarfoolish"

According to his profile, he started this thread and hasn't been back since. Kinda makes one think there's a lot to this story he left out and doesn't to have to answer. Maybe he is a unhappy customer and made up this story?????
