I may very well be behind the times, but im thinking it would be of benefit to outfit these boat's with some sort of low jack system as they do in the higher end auto's. Now I may be completly retarded to this situation and someone tell me they all ready do this, and I am aware it would not prevent theft all together, but IF, and I say IF I were a boat thief, I would definetly have to ask myself before I backed up to a trailer and80,000 dollar boat. DOES THIS BOAT HAVE A LOW JACK TRACKING SYSTEM. Hell locate it under the floor as to where it could not be disactivated..........
Further more, on another subject. I do know of a fellow in NKY that is deeply involved in all sorts of illegal activities involving stolen boat parts....feel free to pm me for his company name and personal name. The reason I post this is although I can not contact law inforcment and show them what is going on, with any proof. I do know it is going on, I was interested in purchasing a bravo drive and was asked where I planned on using the boat primarly. Well I thought that to be odd, and inquired, well turns out the individual didnt want me to purchase parts from him and inadvertatly run into the actual owners, he actually went as far as telling me the individual that had his parts stolen, contacted him for replacement parts, the fellow who owned the bravo drive was standing within feet of his own drive looking for a replacement drive.
the fellows on this site probably will never run into the fellow im referring to, i live in southern ohio, and he lives just across the river in nky. he's a marine mechanic, has been for years, so if your actually in the nky i would definetly ask myself is this the guy I read about on OFO. I wont throw a name out here on the world wide web, but if your from around these parts and are concerned about your situation or if you have stolen parts from this idividual you may want to inquire. Good luck to anyone out there that has had the misfortune of someone ripping us off of our most prized possions and hobby's. you guys have some really bad ass boats that i love loggin on to here and dreaming about.
