I posted what a joke his response was but decided to delete because anyone with any sense can see this is a joke.

Too bad for the buyer. Seller makes mistakes and he suffers.

If I was more computer literate I would link up what rich tried to do for me a couple weeks ago when we were in Ft. Meyers beach. I'm a small town guy and if someone does me right, or goes out of their way for my benefit, then I have their back ! Hope this ends so all parties satisfied.

Having ones back is a rare trait now a days . Even rarer is someone that goes out of their way for you . Both commendable . Hope this ends well for both brothers .

I am most of the time the nicest guy in the world and 99 percent of the time I would say yes to anything if someone asked me or needed me to help them out or do a favor.

My exwife always said I was too nice and could never say no when in reality I should have. My young employees I had back in the days that were also my friends off work called me a Sucker because of the the way I would go out of the way to help someone in need.

So enough about the good

Now the Bad

I can be irritably noncommunicative If I feel I am entitled to it. Which in the last 5 years has become a ritual

It came from my dad being in the building development business and the phone ringing nonstop until we sat down for dinner and than we dialed 4 and left it off the hook for an hour and from there on he picked it up until 1130 when johnny Carson came on.

But I am a nice guy.Anyone that knows me will tell you

This is how we see it.

The buyer wishes to purchase your inverter that you were selling on your posts here to defend your boat sinking.

A Gentleman here inquires about it and the 2 of you come to an agreement of 200 dollars, but he would pay the shipping. We do not know the payment arrangements or if you mentioned it needs the control board to the buyer.

The buyer makes the payment and assumes he Is going to receive a useable inverter with in a few days of him paying you as you had told him you would ship as soon as his payment was received ?

After the time period that the buyer thought was reasonable had expired to receive the inverter the buyer contacts you and you apologize and say that you have been busy and have not shipped it yet

Buyer is patient with you and accepts your offer to pay the 35 dollar shipping to ship it out assuming he is now going to receive a functioning inverter..

Buyer receives the inverter and it is a bit dirtier than he had hoped for but the kicker is it is missing the control panel so it does not function.

The buyer than tries to contact you to make arrangements to straighten the situation out, but for one reason or another that is not important now ,you do not communicate with him in a timely manner.

The buyer than takes the matter up with paypal figuring you have dropped dead or something since the lack of communication in the hopes he will get his money back or some satisfaction.

You the seller after seeing the hold on your paypal account chose to go on here and present a small problem to the site instead of calling him and offering to do whatever you can do to make him happy because A.you shipped it late and B. you shipped it missing a component so it will not function.

You at no time were ever put out . The 35 dollars for the shipping is on you for not shipping it in the timely manner you had affirmed with the buyer. Water under the Bridge.

Your offer of a 100 bucks is a little to little to late as the saying goes.As the buyer at this point has chose that he would like his 200 back and to be done with the deal.

Being the buyer is a fellow OSO member and doesn't appear to be in the scamming business as either are you, I would give the man the benefit of a doubt and give him his 200 , and another 35 for him to ship it if you want it back.

Remember he did nothing wrong .

He paid you the agreed upon price

You did not ship in a timely manner and than forgot to ship a component to make it functional and than you were out of communication for him to contact you on the matter.

Hey, Just me and that's the way I see it , and the way I would handle it

Nobody's perfect and believe me buddy I am far phuckin from it But some days you have to take your beatings for it.

In the end it all works out.

Yep, well put tommy.
Complete dick move to continue to jack this buyer off.
Give the guy his full payment back and add 35 bucks if you want the incomplete item back.
This is supposed to be a brotherhood!
Take care of your brother and next time you foul up a transaction, take care of it without a lame drama thread.

Good job, not sure why this ever reached this point. Just doesn't seem to be that complicated of a situation to me. Someone pays for something, they have a right to get it, if not then it turns into a mess.

To the buyer- In the future when the "new in the box" item arrives late, dirty, incomplete, 8yrs old and possibly not working will you please remember to cup balls while sucking in your attempt at a refund? To do otherwise causes sellers to grow tired of you and develope principals which they will use to deny making you whole and insult you in general discussion by starting a thread pretending to be the buyer that no one can even understand for the first page in an attempt to cover the fact they were the bad seller. They will do this while you still seem to be in private discussion with them and giving them 2 reasonable ways to make the situation go away. The initial goal of said thread will be help them rationalize the decision they've already made to tell you to f-off by portraying you as the scammer.
