Scammed by Vanessa Mendez, [email protected], paid for Bravo gears and never received them and not returning calls or email. Phone goes direct to answering service.

I was close. This part of the conversation threw up the flag for me. Hate to hear you got scammed. Had changed my mind and was going to just drive there to pick up what I needed but looks like I’m going to save 7 hours of driving.

Was this from an OSO listing?? or if on FB, was that her name used for the listing??

I got a pm from a listing in the wtb section. Unfortunately I am an unpaid member and am short on message space so I deleted their message a month ago. The number when googled brings up a user name on other forums that might be what it is here, however it sucks to try to look on my phone.

Sorry, I gave you about nothing to go off of.

Yes it was a reply to an offshore WTB listing. They are somewhere in PA phone# 717 316-0507
Any yes, they wanted Paypal. I just opened a case with Paypal resolution center.

Never do Friends and Family with PayPal when buying something. That is for gifts only and it is a known scam that PayPal usually wont side with you on and the scammer knows it.

I’ve been scammed by the buyer with PayPal a few times.
They try to beat you up in price, finally give into your price, then when they get the part file a claim but refuse to return it.

One general rule of thumb I go by is that if it is a Gmail address, chances are it is a scam. I see it ALL over Craigslist and Facebook. Gmail address's are SOOOO easy to start. Before you all jump in my ****, I'm not saying all are scams. Just in my experience.
