Posting a Buyer Beware of Chad Pyland in Florida - I made the mistake of buying a complete Bravo One Transom assembly from him on Facebookmarketplace.com - I paid him $1,150.00 (to his wife Stephanie Pyland via Pay Pal) on December 16, 2020 - initially he stated he packed it up and shipped it on Dec. 16, 2020 and that he'd update me with a tracking number. Dec 29, 2020 I messaged him to see if there were any updates. Jan 4, 2021 he messaged me back stating he'd get me everything needed to track my package, Jan 5, 2021 after I re-messaged him for the update, he stated I would receive the package by Friday Jan 8, 2021, Jan 11 - 13th I continued to request a tracking number as I had not received any delivery or tracking information from him. Jan 14th I get picture of a tracking number When I ran the number it stated the label was generated Jan 14th! When I received the box Jan 20th the only item in the box was the inner mounting plate. Jan 22 I requested an update - he said he'd provide the shipping numbers when he got back to the office - Jan 26 I requested an update, Jan 27 Chad advised I'd have everything in hand by the end of the week. Feb 1 2021 still nothing, Feb 3, 2021 I received a box with only 2 outdrive trim rams - As of today Feb 10, 2021 I have not received a honest/simple response to any questions regarding the timely shipping of the items I paid in full on Dec 16th!!!!!! I have all the 'messenger' communications from the Facebookmarketplace.com forum to back-up my claims


Sorry for LONG thread, but I just wanted illustrate the timeline and challenges of dealing with guy.

Did you pay his wife with the "Gift" option on Paypal, or the "Goods and Services"?

I am hearing PayPal is acting like marketplace is a third party sale and will not do anything.

Not boating related stuff, but I have had 2 orders of stuff since christmas vaporize..one was somehow delivered someplace in Toledo Oregon, and I am in toledo ohio. Paypal has refunded me on all 3....

Unfortunately I sent payment as 'family/friend' - my bad and my lesson for the future - I googled him and found out that he has a hay/grain company in Florida and the Yelp review I read was very similar to my situation - so I did the next best thing and added my own Yelp review of my experience with this guy - I'm OK with the 'Life Lesson', but I didn't want anyone else to get 'ripped' by this guy.
Be Safe out there and hopefully we can ALL get back out on the water to reduce some of the CRAZY stress we've been going through LOL!

NEVER send Paypal friend/family to someone you don't know and don't trust 100%.

I thought he was eaten by a frog, as I never heard from him again.......and now look, he is off doing his tricks again!!!!

I looked up his name with truckers, since he is in the grain business. Man, he is all over their boards about needing emergency help, getting someone to move the load and never paying the bill.

It's REALLY too bad this guy has gotten away with his scams.....He's going to burn someone some day that doesn't "play nice"!!!!!

Unfortunately yes on June 10th to be exact on the phone he is a really likeable guy and really all the way up until 2 weeks go by and hadn't received the tracking #'s. I'm going to do my best to handle this hopefully he makes things right in the next day or 2

Hopefully Karma will catch him soon...Eveyone needs to post on his timeline what a thief he is.

I'm approx an hour or so from his alleged city. Perhaps we can convinced a county sheriff to make a call or pay him a visit?

Crazy - I just noticed a message from Chad on Facebook Messenger on July 27th that he wants to 'make things right' ??????????????????????????????????????? Wow!!!! Not sure what 'reality' this guy lives in???

Hi guys dealing with the same thing here payed for a drive on June 3rd had every story in the book and nothing yet has anyone confirmed an address for Chad

Gentlemen I know of someone that has been screwed by chad pyland badly and karma is coming soon … and from what I know this person has been screwed 100 times more than any of your issues mentioned here with him … I know how to get everyone all the information on chad ….his address ….phone numbers there are more then one …..social security number etc … from what I know you will not get anything you paid for unless you legally go after him… he comes across like a great guy and in reality he is a flat out liar and hustler is out just to screw you … he has every story in the book and not one single word is ever true … I am sorry but I cannot publicly give info out as it could jeopardize an ongoing case… he tries to protect himself but it’s about to come to light .. you only can get him legally

I’m sure everyone who has had an issue with this guy has googled his name? If not, he’s associated with the bad company P1 offshore race team. If you haven’t googled his name, grab a drink and a meal, the legal garb around this guy is extensive to say the least. His wife Stephanie also seems to be a real winner.

Ok so I noticed that there is a huge thread going on about this scum bag Chad Pyland. I am sorry that you guys have also come to contact and been screwed by him. I have been screwed by him worse that any of you. He has stolen my boat and is now hidden so I am sure he is selling my boat parts to everyone. I do not want to put my number out there, but please if everyone can message me on here beachside I am going after this scum bag the more people we can get together the better. This scum bag needs to go down big time. He has screwed so many people. He plays out to be your friend and it he end just screws. I also have all phone numbers and addresses. Like I said let’s get this ****ing ass hole give him what he deserves

Cant speak to other transactions but sounds like the same guy I talked to on FB Market Place, seemed like a good guy. I paid for two items via paypal and items were shipped promptly in a few days. Both arrived as described. When dealing with any online transaction I always use paypal and take the 3% hit for the protection and agree on a ship date in writing so it can be linked to paypal dispute if needed.

Hey there big baller. Glad you may or may not have had a successful transaction with this piece of sh!t, but you come across more of a supporter than someone who has been screwed. Thanks for the online transaction tip, I’m sure none of the victims knew this, including myself. Jerkoff!
