Didn't see taboo at loto. We had 117 on gps at the shootout but the radar got us for 114. The gun typically reads 3-4mph less at loto. What type of course is the Seneca Lake Poker/radar run? Is it a standing start 1 mile like loto?

Do you have low noise restrictions in MN? That thing was quite. Do you think the turndowns reduce HP any?

Yeah, there are a bunch of noise laws and the water patrol aren't very nice, except to us, they always wave to us, but everyone else they tag.

What about the HP loss? Its a shame you can't let them roar.

What makes this boat, and the speed that it runs, so remarkable is that the boat has a full interior, not a half cabin or "cover girl" interior and the exhaust is connected to full-time mufflers in the engine compt.
There are only 2 exhaust outlets on the transom, from the mufflers, and that's it. Granted the thru-hull ex. outlets are approx. 7" in dia.
If someone was looking for a fantastic Black Thunder, this would be the one, in my opinion. If I had the $$$, I would buy it. First I would have to sell my 38 Cigarette though.

Hey, thanks GK. I've been meaning to post some more info here but just haven't gotten to it and didn't have pics.

There are 2 cans inside the boat that are 36"x12" where the 2 exhuast pipes enter and the exhuast and water mixes to deaden down alot of the sound. Exiting the can/muffler, it flares from an 8" outlet to 6.5" outlet and then has a 6.5" downturn on the transom. We don't think there is much, if any hp loss because the back pressure is under 1psi.

We also did acceleration tests with the boat, and it did 0-60 in 9.8 secs (includes getting on plane) and 60-100 in about 10.4secs. It was hard to get accurate readings because there was gps lag. If anything, the times are a little on the long side.

Also, the pipes routed the way the are to get into the cans make it really easy to work on the boat. Saves a lot of gumby work. -JP
