just sold my 430sc in dec. 06 had it since april 2000 wore out hp 500s install custom 598s same drives no problems except when you hit something one time. not the drives fault like some said it has to do with the nut behind the wheel. scotty

Bravos are good for what they are made for that's all. Blowers ,43 flat decks and Bravos don't mix. If your running heavy boats like Black Thunders and not killing the drives....your not running. Trust me.

if you want to run fast you should gear up for it don`t use a toy to chase a bear, you need #6 drives dry sumps and big motors but mercury lets people think that they can so they go out and brake the drives and want to blame the drive when it is the nut behind the wheel like i said i never had trouble with the bravos behind 720hp. but did not jump waves

I agree Scott on what you said but it's also the weight on the boat on take off when the nuts your talking about put the throttles on the dash even with 500hp they won't last long. Most trouble comes from there. In my case I always have to be in the front of whatever class of boat or water I'm in and sometimes you just can't time LOTO water. Ask anyone about my water. It takes just a few times to twist out a Bravo with 600HP.
Here are a couple of pics of my "Bear chaser". The next one will be BPM shaft drives and 1800-2000 Hp per side.

A drive with a tranny is what any large heavy boat needs. I dont care if you are easy and know what the hell you are doing. It's just a matter of time, so spend the extra coin, so you can relax on the water with your friends. Just my .02 Jeff
