Default 46' or not raised deck

question, i been boating for over 20yrs. with my 25' 4-winns single eng.My family is much bigger now 5 total including myself, i want to buy an off shore boat and was thinking of a 46' Black Thunder. Does any body think that may be to much of a jump or should i try and stick with a 38' or 42' cig. or Fountain. 98% of my boating is at the shore in CT.
Thanks

Nope. Several people I know have made jumps from the 25-30' range right into 43-46 BTs.
