Difference Between 43 and 46
#1
Researching options of BT. Is the galley below of the 43 and 46 exactly the same? Is the head room the same? I know the cockpit on the 46 appears to be larger. Is this where the 3' difference is added?

I'm pretty sure they are both the same from the steering wheel, forward.
The difference is the 46 can be either an extended cockpit with twin engines or a shorter cockpit with 3 engines.
The 43 is just the shorter cockpit with twin engines.
Anyone with more knowledge, please correct me if I'm wrong.

They made a few 43 tall deck with an extended cockpit
The 46 has length added to the bow and the stern, little bit different swim platform, etc.
Cool boats I have driven multiple and are hard to beat for cockpit and cabin room

Changes are in the nose, swim platform, engine air intakes and I believe headroom is 1 inch more at opening on the 46. Otherwise exact same running surface and helm. Cockpit layout is determined by engine # and bolsters. Loved all the 43s I've owned as well as the 46. Great boats for what they are

Thanks for the info.
So I talked to a sales rep this am that has leads on a some 43's and 46. Picking his brain on issues with the BT. One thing that came up was speed. He didn't think the 46 would see much over 60mph.
What is the 46EC with 525's 1/2 tank fuel, fresh water able to see?
Endeavor, what are you getting out of your 43?
Thanks

Light in fuel and its best day with wind in its sails. That's s my interpretation from a 2005 46 with 525s and Shane's listed 46 that is newer and 525s. Been next too them or in them both and 65/68 gps everyday is real. You want 75, look for 575sci or bigger

I am pretty set on the 525's. Not any bigger. So if 68-70ish is it, that's fine. My style of driving does not involve speed as a priority, but I thought it would be nice to run with the others in my crowed once in a while. I do have a concern with saving the drives. Im used to max speed 55, so 70ish on the water will be a big change.
