I'll buck up and pay. Adding 4 more JL 8.8
This will be (12) JL M8.8 coaxil and (4) JL M10" subs
All being pushed 250W @ 4 ohm
Blue LED speaker rings around them all...
I'll post pics once they are all in next week.

John is wrapping up. I rebuilt the 575 sci, flat-top pistons, roller cam and whipple kit. Had him install BMAX drives and a ton of other ancillary stuff.

Should be pretty cool when done. I'm shipping it to Miami next month for the Key West poker run.

Sounds nice. Good looking boat and will be setup right for sure

Here are a few pics. Boat will be back at the lake in a couple weeks and I'll grab some more.

Looks awesome. I have been JL audio lover in my last boats. Been studying W&W builds and I think I am going to change gears alittle. I had 24 components + the 24 tweeters in last boat. Sounded great and loud, but did not get the sound that I was really wanting. I was told by a few I could go with half as many speakers and take it to the next level if I go with Focal. Did not want to spend the money. This time I am thinking this is what I am going to do. Nobody I boat with or around have Focal, so I have never been able to compare. I know this is what W&W likes to use, so therefore you guys at LOL have probably been around them and had the opportunity to compare. Any thoughts?

W&W have done a couple boats for me in the past with Focal. Great guys, great work, but I believe a premium price for what can be had for less. I'm no audiophile and have a hard time hearing the slight difference in speakers. I believe many speakers including focal and JL sound very close and the biggest difference is using clean power and enough of it to make them come alive. The reason I used JL was due to not having room for additional subs, and the engines tend to drown out the bass. The 8.8 JL really throws off that bass I was looking for....and of course the grills look great.

Do you boat at the lake? I'd be more than happy to let you listen to them.

Yes, for a premium price. I do all my work myself so I can save alot on that side of it. And yes there is a whole spectrum of ideas and thoughts on what sounds best and what can be made to sound the same as others. I am not a audiophile myself, but the wife, thats a different story. About the time I think I have out done it, she claims that it can still be better. My ear is much different than hers. Not going down that road of recording qualities and so forth.
I know subs become a problem and I have been researching and studying how I can make 2 18", 4 12" and 2 10" subs be build into the gunwale space and get it to make some real waves. The reason is so I can cover 20hz to 140hz for different music. I know this sounds crazy, but I like to be different if it is going to work. Here is an example of what I am thinking. I've been trying to find who actually did this build.

Yes, that would be wild. The walls are deep enough, that it should work. You just need to be careful. It's a thin line between cool and tacky
Let me know what you figure out.

Yes, l agree it could be cool or to tacky. I don't really want subs under bolsters and no room under back seat. I need that storage. Still researching options.
