Default Where to buy: LANYARDS ?

My old boat did not come equipped with kill switch / lanyards. I intend on installing some this winter.

Where do you get these ?

Also --- I have 2 engines. Do I need 2 lanyards or can I wire 1 lanyard into both engines ?

My 43 Nor-Tech has 1 for 3 engines. 1 pull shuts all down. Good luck, Wrink

This is how I rigged the twin engines in my 302 for one lanyard.

Joe, from what I`m seeing there, you have 2 lanyards with a pin that connects them to one lanyard cord ... ?

That`s a great idea, but what I`m curious about is can you install just one lanyard and wire both engines into it ?

I seem to be running out of space to put anything else.....

Yes, no problem. My kill switch is of the toggle switch design with the 1/2 cover to contain the clip to trip the switch if need be. Basically it is nothing more than a double pole switch=1 switch for 2 motors.

Not sure where you could buy one already with the double pole switch, but can always buy a On-Off DP switch from any electrical store, Radio Shack, Lowes, etc for a couple bucks and replace the single pole switch itself and be in business.

Just an option.

That's the way mine came from the factory. I rigged the two in one deal. I don't know if it had two lanyards or not.

Since Advantage decided that an 80 mph boat didnt need a kill switch, I have been looking for over a year. I finally talked to Larry at E-Ticket in Havasu. He was gentleman enough to tell me that Mercruiser has these single toggle switch types for multiple motors in their catalogs. Dont have the part numvber right now for the twin, but they make them....
