Maybe because these boats are getting cheaper, the average guy with a little cash and no knowledge can own one. But, to go to dinner directly from the scene, when you are wet and your boat is floating upside down in the bay? WTF?

I think boats are tripled in the last10yrs. before they droped the lux tax you could buy a 31 to 33 ft twin boat for 99,999 or a single 24 to 27ft boat for 35,000. now a 24 to 30 single is 90 to 150. twins 33 280,000. I wish my pay jumped as much as that. or gas in 02 it was 1.20 now 3.00 bucks:p my boat in 90 was 26,000 now its 80,000 with low hp if it had the 650hp I have now add25gs to the 80. art ps anyone have a extra knee.

I'd hate to have to get insurance on a step cig next year, once the insurance companys get wind of this it's bound to skyrocket...even more than it already has that is.

I don't even think boating is more fun now than it was before. We all have access to boats that are 80/90/100+++ MPH but is that really more fun than an old Cig 38 flat deck running 70-75 MPH? Or a 22 Donzi classic running 60-70MPH?

It sure seemed like more fun when the baddest boat in town had a pair of stock 454's.

I have to agree with you on that.
I can't say I "have access" to these boats, but I'd be plenty happy in a Cig Mistress runnin low 70's on a good day.
Plus - it always leaves room for improvement:cool:

this is just a thought so feel free to fire away at me,but do you think that because inexperienced people are "sitting down" in the boat(much like a car)that they feel comfortable a bit too early, and turn like a car?
