You know what someone that is investigating this should do - is contact insurance companies and find a listing of all people with the suspect boat who dropped coverage on or about this time - odds are the boat is either shredded, or in a barn somewhere not to be used for a LONG time, and if that is the case someone might have taken it off insurance....

I own a 29 Fever and boat at Havasu. I bought the boat in March of 08 for the record. There are more Fountains out their then you think. Mine is red with the checker graphic on the back. I parked next to a guy 2 weeks ago in the channel who had a 35 with twins and the EXACT graphic pattern that I did. I really hope the catch the f'r who did this.

Several years ago (maybe 8+/-) Formula offered a paint scheme with the word Formula spelled out largely on its side. I was wondering if maybe in all the excitement, the witness saw the first few letters and figured it said Fountain when it may have said Formula. From a distance of 200+/- yards, the casual observer may not tell a difference. Maybe an investigator should get paint drawings from the manufactures and double check with any witnesses.
p.s. I'm not a Fountain owner. I used to own a Formula. I just hope they catch this guy.
