i was pretty lucky, denver(school)nellis, kunsan rok was remote but we got to go to the phillipines twice 35 days each time, then homestead, the a-10 could take a nasty bite out of your head with 11 hard points for munitions.
I'd have been happy to trade the year at Kadena for one at Clark. On second thought, maybe it's better I didn't. |

Let's all judge another person's parenting skills!
I was: -water skiing at 2 -driving my Dad's Chris Craft at who knows how young (under supervision of course) -had my own boat by 10 -driving my Dad's Formula at 12 -45' Viking at 13 -etc. etc. etc. If this person was doing this around other boats, I'd have a problem. But running like this in the open, not doing anything to anyone else, STFU. It's none of your business. |

It was reading about how some of you guys did indeed drive boats at incredibly young ages that opened my eyes a bit to the fact that it's not perhaps so unusual. However, if the title of the clip had been '11 y.o. girl driving a 30 powerboat at 35mph' I don't think I would have been so alarmed - but 75mph? Devil's advocate here but what if something broke at the business end and suddenly brute force behind the wheel was required??

Plus, in case you haven't noticed, we've got more than our fair share of really stupid people. See, in most other countries, these people are invisible, toiling away at menial tasks and held in check because all their efforts are focused towards staying alive. Here, things are so easy that even your garden variety moron can do quite well for themselves. They have free time and discretionary income. One of their big hobbies these days is either seeing stupid $hit on the internet and copying it, or thinking up new stupid $hit, doing it, video taping it and posting it on the internet. |
