I was thrown out of my 18 foot 700HP jet boat at 60ish with no jacket but sober. It took me a considerable amount of time to reach the surface. I was knocked out sort of in the crash I could hear but to see or feel. Two female passengers were also ejected and both were banged up bad. Jackets would have helped every one of us. Thank goodness no smacked there skull on the way out, low profile boat helped. When we all surfaced we were over 30 feet apart crazy. My Velocity is deep like most offshore boats and feels secure but trust me after having my bell rung it can happen to anyone at any time.

I bought Mustang SAR vest for 115 each. Lifelines are not in my budget.
