Question Who has the right of way ..

First picture ....:
I was always confused what determines who is the give-way vessel . Is it based on size ?
While back I was going down the main chanel and a boat was coming from a cove ..
I did not yield, figured I had the right of way since I`m on the main chamel and hes basically coming fron a "side street" ..(he was coming from the right) he followed me to my destination having a F ucking stroke hollaring and yelling ...even thou we never got close .

Dan,

I was always of the understanding that, essentially, the same rules apply as on the road, with certain marine caveats. Larger boats and boats in tow have the right of way, in general. As for crossing paths, a boat on the right will see your green bow light, giving them the right of way, and a boat on your left will see your red bow light, giving you the right of way. This would be identical to crossing intersection rules of the road when two cars approach a stop simultaneously. I also always thought that boats on the main waterway had right of way over boats entering the main waterway. Again, just like roadway rules of right of way. I could be wrong on that one, but it makes sense.

I've always found the best way to deal with forehead vein poppers was to smile and wave, as if they'd done the same to you. Generally, sends them right over the top.

Thanks. Brad.

Technically you are still the give way boat, but I know when I come out of coves, I always yield to the main channel traffic and most good boaters do the same.
