one thing i think they could do to really help out the tourist part would be to eliminate the automatic 15% gratuity they add to everything down there if they had to actually work for their tips that would possibly speed things up some LOL

The wife and I spent a week on Grand Bahama around Thanksgiving. We lucked out with great weather and really enjoyed the beautiful water, beaches, and awesome snorkling. However, everything was very expensive for what you got and the service was nonexistent. Some call it a laid back attitude, but I call it rude. We often had to wait while hotel employees finished their chats before helping us. I'm a fairly patient person, but this was ridiculous. Tourism in Grand Bahama is in decline and this isn't helping.
