Default 27' Carrera at Aqua-Mania in LI

I believe this boat has been discussed a few times. The guy has been steadily coming down on price. I think a couple of people on here have seen it. Any thoughts? The lack of cabin is actually an advantage for us and we have a trailer. What work will it need? Is it ready to run, or will it need work? How many hours on the motors, etc.?

There are some photos here:

Get a survey done on it, that should give you the info you need.
The price is great if the boat is solid and runs well.
with 260hp/350s they ran upper 60s, with the efi's in that one probably lower 70s.
With tweaked 400hp smallblocks you would be in the lower 80s.
I paid $4500 for my 27 Carrera 3 months ago totally complete with hydraulic steering, bravo, aluminum trailer, headers, everything but no engine.
I was specifically looking for a single engine version though. I am not flexible enough to work on those twin engine setups,LOL..
Also I needed a cabin, and since there were never any race versions
of the 27 made I can only surmise that boat was used as a work mule at one time
in its life.
just a guess though..

Wow, that's a hell of a deal you got on that boat of yours! What do you mean by a "work mule?" Are there any issues with flexing, etc. since the deck and hull aren't bonded? I assume these are pretty good rough water boats?

Thanks again!

Miami
1980s
import/export
fill in the blanks.

The 27 is a the same hull as the 30 Carrera (they just dropped in a 3ft plug to make up the unused space ) which in turn is the same hull as the 30 Corsa,
only difference is the flat deck as opposed to the raised deck in the 30ft.
deeper than normal 26deg V , it is an awesome riding boat.
Took me one afternoon to take off rubrail, take all the screws,
fiberglass the top and bottom together from the inside and 5200 from outside and screw it all back together. Since that one has no cabin it will be even easier.
With a mild 509' I am running 69.4 on gps with 150gallons of fuel onboard.
