Took the SS8M to Texas Outlaw challenge again this year..
Running a new powerplant installed just before the run,
502/Merlin BB2X heads, custom cam, B&[email protected] boost
Should be around 700hp. Had my girlfriend and a Navigator on board ,
it was her first poker run and only second time on a boat ever so didnt get crazy,
mostly ran @ 3500rpm which was around 55mph ,,only punched it once for a few seconds to keep
someone from passing me, the shootout gps showed 77mph ,should be in the mid to upper 80s when
I get chance to run it WOT.
Handles the gulf just fine as always,,was rougher this year than last..

The run from Kemah to Galveston..first idling out to meet up with every one then fun starts around 9.40 in,,
was mostly 2-3ft waves with the occasional ship/barge rollers from the Houston ship channel mixed in.
Was running drive in and tabs down to keep GF from getting scared but still getting out of the water
here and there.
This is only first part of run...
There is another 30m vid with the rest but havent up loaded it yet.. Ran around 200 miles total over three days.
