Howdy - yes, I have one that curls the other way - see pic. I took it off and it's in the basement as i plan to replace the plywood and refit the vinyl over new foam. Gotta maintain to keep it strong. Also, I believe the 3/4" ply has to be marine grade to HELP prevent any rot.
Cheers - and sed some pics of the project when you get the panel off. Let's see how bad it really is???

I have a 97 283 Convinser and my hatch gap is even all the way across. Did you just buy this boat from TX? It looks like one which has been for sale and was the Hot Boat Mag test boat in 99? If yes, how fast does it actually go? My boat has 502 MPIs and will just touch 80 on GPS and I think the article claimed 80 with 454 MPIs...

FYI... I don't own the boat, I'm just considering it.
The don't know the boat's history, but he claims top speed with 31 pitch props is 82 mph. With the 26 pitch props that it has on it now the top speed is 75 mph. Sound about right?
I'm also hearing that these twin-engined 28' Convincors are stern-heavy and don't ride as well as the single-engined boats. How does yours handle?

I'll go for another question even if I didn't get an answer to the first one. lol
Do you have a copy of that issue of Hot Boat? I'd like to get some scanned images of that article or a copy of the issue.
Thanks!
