dmann......

I'm running a 26 4 blade labbed hydro @ 5100. Usually during the hot summer i run around 73-75. But when it's cool (i don't have an intercooler), I've seen 79 on two different occassions with different GPS's.....(they were the best possible conditions - 1 person, low fuel, 1' chop and 40 degrees.).

Your boat looks awsome! I can notice many differences from the back of your boat to mine???

Your platform has color in it, and uses different brackets...My platform is white with integrated non-skid designs(horse head), and i have "L" type brackets for support

You have a grab rail.
I have dual ram tabs.

I suppose the last two differences are options, but what about the platform?

hi-per-2000, this boat was ordered new with out a platform, that is why there is a grab rail, when i purchased the boat i order the platform from checkmate with purple in the center. it also did not have tabs, i had a dealer put the tabs on they were supposed to put dual rams on, he said he could not fit the other ram on because of the steering arm. should of done it myself!!

hi-perf-2000, your charger looks great! is it painted or anodized? I bought my 253 in 2000, the platform in 2001, i think the colored center on the platform is more common on 2000 and up

Here is a pic of the motor. It's a 540 with a 420 megablower making 1100 hp with a 28 pitch 1.36 gear ratio at 5700 rpm ran 103 mph. The motor will rev out to 6800 we figured that was good enough to post for our local radar runs that we participate in.

SAM what did you have to mod to fit that blown 540 in? I didn't even think you could stick one with carbs in a 25' Convincor without cutting the hatch!

thanks dmann..... I powdercoated the blower. I polished the bearing plates (instead of powdercoating) becuase i didn't want to subject them to the high temp and risk warping something.

What are you manifolds done in?

hi-perf-2000, i painted the lighting exhaust with emron paint. seems to be holding up pretty good since the outside camber is water.

I had to cut the hatch, install scoop to keep little fingers from playing with flame arresters and to prevent accidental damage. Had to move the back seat forward 3 inches and notch out the bulk head behind the seat to accommodate blower pully.
