Has anyone installed mechanical indicators on their 253? I have the actuator but I need help selecting the indicator for my dash. There is not alot of room at all for the indicator. Thanks.

Default MY 1994 253 convincer

I added the indicators, 2 tabs/1 outdrive. My 94 has had a complete make over last year.

I installed a set of Dana Marine tabs a few years back. My hull is a bit different than yours but maybe it will help you some. I used a Livorsi slim line indicator guage. It just fit in the space I wanted to mount it.

How did the boat react to the 2" shorty?
What gains in speed, handling etc did you see? I have a 94 253 and was considering doing some mods.

The Imco -2" $3500 lower greatly improved the tracking and running in rough water . Speed I may have picked up 1-2mph but the sure footing feel was very noticeable. I felt that the boat grew 3 feet in lenght. I spent so much on my boat, may sell this spring due to fuel cost.

Thanks guys for your pics. Glen, Was it difficult mounting your guages on the passenger side? I may need to move my stereo remote to that side to make room for my indicators and tab controls. I will post a pic if of my current set up if it ever warms up around here enough to take the tarp off!

I have dual speedometers. Mounting new gauges takes a little planing and time. Clearing the cabin door when open and running the wires above the headliner ect. I have completly reworked my whole boat.
