New top speed for my 21' Pulsare long deck/Merc 225Xri. Ran the Lock Park Canal west towards Lake Okeechobee last sunday in fresh water, 70+ degrees, 30+ gallons of gas, two adults, 13.5" of setback, Trophy Plus 26 at a speed of 77.0 MPH on my Garmin handheld GPS!!! Not bad for a stock fishing motor!!!
Here's a quick video from the Jupiter Sandbar:

1.50 is the ratio. I am not sure on the rpms. The engine will turn 6200 before hitting the rev limiter. I was so excited I did'nt see the rpms. I will make some more runs this weekend and get more info.

6100 rpm @ 90 something mph. Will have new speedo soon unless I can get my neighbors' handheld gps this weekend. Freakin thing sounds like a jet at full throttle. I just hope everything stays together this season.(XR) This project really put me in the poor house! I will keep you guys posted.

I know this thread is getting old but lets hear some more numbers! I have an update to mine, last year I ran 85mph with a 30p bravo, I just sent it out to cutting edge propellers to be labbed, hoping to break into the high 80's.
