I just got back from a road trip on the motorcycle to Bucyrus and I cannot say enough good things for Doug Smith his wife Linda, daughter Dee, Dean Reynolds, JR Jenny and all the good folks back in the plant.
They make me feel like family every time I am up there and most importantly every time I see the plant their is more going on and lots of exciting things happening.
Yesterday there were two SWEET 28's heading out that are really trick. One has a single 525 and a custom metallic paint job at the customers request and the other had twins with a really trick Kustom Kolors paint job that made the boat look 33 foot long.
I can tell you that with the talent and years of boat building experience at Checkmate that we have yet to scratch the surface on the cool things we will be seeing come out of that plant.
Thanks Doug for the directions you gave me. Other then a slight wrong turn in Columbus I made it fine and enjoyed the route and arrived back home safely around 9:30PM last night.
Checkmate Rocks!

Sorry but I left my camera on the bike and shot the ones above just as I was leaving. I wish I had remembered to take the camera and shoot some as Dean and I were going through the plant. They were shrink wraping the custom paint boat for shipment and the single 525 was heading to the lake for testing.
