Checkmate PHOTO thread

I noticed on some other threads people asked to see some pics of Checkmates so I thought I would start a thread just for Checkmate photos.

If you would like to add a picture of your boat that would be good or if I post a pic of your boat and you wan't it removed just tell me.

What's the scoop on this boat, PH?

The boat runs over 100 plus mph. I know the radared speed runs that it did. Its not my boat to comment on but it is good for over 100 plus.

I have witnessed it well over the century mark, we occassionally boat on the same body of water! Pics do not do this beast justice!:cool:

I don't think so, I know about the boat because I have meet Bill and seen the boat in person.

What kind of information are you looking about the engine configuration? Since that engine picture was taken the turbos, exhaust and intercooler have been replaced.

I was just wondering about the water cooling with teh exhaust system with the turbos

We don't water cool the turbo housings but we do have a water cooled shield that protects the engine hatch. The exhaust pipes are water cooled.

By "replaced", are you currently at more power, the same power, or less power?

I'd love to see that boat run.

At the current boost level of 25# we're making more power. :)

Go to a sitle like photobucket and post it there. Then copy and paste and use the icon above that says "insert image".

my restored 89 Convincor

Here's a few shots of my 89 Convincor I bought at a repo auction last fall. The guy that had it was in the middle of restoring it. All the white on it was repainted from a beige color and he had all the vinyl redone but nothing was together. Everything that was touching the white was either missing or off. All the wiring was hanging out of the dash. Everything that is red on it I did and it came without swim platforms so I had some used ones painted and then sweated through the installation hoping I didn't screw up holes in the transom (I didn't). I managed to get the last windshield Checkmate had but they didn't have a cabin door or frame so if anybody has one or knows how to make one it would be appreciated. Next years project is to replace all the black gauges with white Gaffrigs that are just waiting for spring.
