You can mass produce qaulity, both Mike and Kip Combs have told me that it was common for Checkmate to produce 60-70 boats a week in the mid 80's. Right now mass production is the number of fingers you have on (one) hand per week for most boat companies. I think that when you see the new Checkmates at the boat shows, you will see what I see...
XT:cool: Dude you just like the new Checkmate because it looks like a Baja and you are following your lost jobless dream like Doc dream of baja back here in Ohio |
Since Reggie is not building Baja's anymore ( heard it again this past weekend) they can drop the molds off at my place as I have an investor that wants to build boats.
I am sure Bajawill and the Nebraska dealer will call and they will say they are building them today....... PROVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!! |

Of course you can mass produce quality, many do it, Baja was not one of them for many years, and they were cooky cutter boats. Where I live, I got tired of seeing 10 of them all tied up together that all looked the same.
To be honest, it is not the boat I hate so much, it is the attitude of many of the owners, many of them think their chit don't stink, and I do not care what you own, that is a piss poor attitude!!! |

Looks like the Baja section was hijacked and changed to the Checkmate section so I figured I would find the Baja crowd here. Where is everybody??? :)

I am not worked up at all. Just staing that if Smith turns Checkmate into a mass produced cooky cutter, I am done with them...:grinser010:
