we need to know more!! what year boat, what motor?the 3 blade mite be a little faster on top end, but you will be happier with a 4 blade hydromotive on your checkmate hull. most of their set-ups us a high x-deminison!good for speed! hope this helps !! bill

The best way to find out is to do some testing. I think we all found out that CM played with the x-dimension so certain props work better on certain years and models. We run a 23 Mirage+ and I really like the way it handles with the Mirage+. Others can't get on plane with the 23 Mirage+. Either just do some testing and see how the props respond to your hull.

mx800, the hydromotive 4 blade makes our boats run more level ! it gives more transom lift where as the bravo and the mirage plus give more bow lift.if your hull likes the 3 blade mirage better, you will probally not gain any speed with the 4 blades, but you will like the better handleing ,especiality if you pull skiers or boat in rough water.you will find that everyone likes different props!us speed freakes are always searching for a little more!!! happy boating!!! i don't think you can use the 3 blade mirage ,because of the high x-diminison that checkmate uses on their hulls. i couldn't on my 270 with 500hp the prop blew out real bad when comming onto plane!! i do think you would see more mph with a hydromotive prop! i just had one done for me. there are some other checkmate owners on the board that have seen improvements as for as speed and better handling from the 4 blade hydro prop. call tom at hydromotive 330-425-4266 he is very helpfull and will tell you what will work best for your setup. good luck and post feedback so others will benifit here!!! bill
