What top speeds are we getting on 253 non step hulls without blower motors? I seem to see low 71-75 with a bravo 1, 70 with a hydromotive 5blade 25p with a really stable ride (hydromotive 4 sale). I have a 24 maximus coming in the mail.

600 hp 540 bbc with an xr -2 imco lower.

I know you said no blower motor but I figured the hp is similar so it may help. A friend has a 253 with a procharged 454mag and he hit 78 on gps with 4 people running a Q-IV(27 or 28). He's probably around 550-575hp.

any other mods besides the procharger?

Gil exhaust is the only other add. But the charger was done right and had the computer re-mapped.

Running at 5200-5300 rpm BB labbed 28p at 76.3 gps today, 540 bbc merlin III heads 741 cam, msd, 1000 cfm holley, Hoping for 80 mph w/o a supercharger. Any ideals?

I believe VinnyP was running mid 80's with a 725 hp n/a 540 and shorty Imco. I'm not 100 percent sure his hull is exactly like the 253 though. His is a 259. Glen, how does your hull like the shorty? I'm thinking of picking one up in the off season.
