Nice going Rob. Looks great running. I dont mean to highjack your thread, but I never posted this link before. Here are a couple of fly by passes I made early this year. I was running mid 80's at the time. My friend was filming from his 35 Sonic that I built engines for last winter.

Check out yachtauctions.com. They have a nice 30 Maxxum for $8K! The parts on the boat are worth more than that.

I'm dropping my Checkmate off at Lake Cumberland Marine on Thursday to be brokered. If you want a nice boat for a fair price call Cumberland! I am under the impression they take trades and finance in-house. This is a very nice boat!

I dropped my gal off at Cumberland. I was sad to leave her but she is in good hands. The staff at Cumberland were great-very friendly sales professionals. Here are a few shots of my visit there. The showroom floor was loaded with some top tier performance hardware.

Vinny P 10-16-2009 06:42 PM

That had to be difficult to do. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks Vinny, it was a great boat. The boat served my family and friends well for seven years. I think someone will be very happy with this boat as it has many more good years ahead of it. Here are a few more pictures of Lake Cumberland Marine. This place is really neat. The drive to Somerset, KY from I75 was something to see in October. The trees were all turning colors and the rolling hills were just awesome. I'm going to Lake Cumberland next year to boat!

Vinny P 10-17-2009 10:17 AM

Rob,

Are you looking into another boat?

RJBBC 10-17-2009 06:58 PM

I need to get through my divorce. If I am able to walk away with any money left I plan on buying an Eliminator 26 Daytona.

Vinny P 10-18-2009 05:48 AM

Sorry to hear that. I didnt know. Good luck with the procedures.

I wonder if Cumberland would take a trade-in on a brokered boat??? It may be worth a phone call if your friend is interested. The boat is very clean and runs great.

I know this boat well as I have been around it for 10 years at LOTO.

Paul,
I didn't see the 30 Convincor when I was there. It was raining so I just checked the boats out in their main showroom area, mostly high dollar go fast catamarans. I think this would be a good place to buy a boat. I am sure they can take for a ride and my impression of the sales staff was that they were experienced and honest.

I think eveyone trying to sell a performance boat in this economy is getting screwed. But if you look at like that than it is a wash situation with a trade-in. Sure they will not value your boat of what it would of been 2 years ago but you will also being getting a smoking deal on a 388 Hustler. Now get over there and buy the Hustler!

They said they have a 2001 also on consignment the guy has had several Checkmates and may be interested in a trade. So my thought is back to my plan A. Try and get my boat in front of my business since this is our busy season and see if I can get anyone interested. If I still have it at the new year I will hunt trading it in harder.

Nauti Girl has been owned by the same person ever since I've been around the boat back in 2000.

The boat used to be slipped at Parkview Bay back when MP had a condo there. We know the guy that owns it. He then moved over to Lands End and the last few years the boat has been for sale residing at both a broker at LOTO and now at LCM. Charlie (the owner) still pulls it out every year to run it at the Shootout and this year was no exception. He normally wins his class with the boat. Runs between 82 - 84 MPH. Stock 500's. He used to race F-2 back in the day...hence the F-2 numbering on the boat. Kevlar boat with no v-berth.

Have LCM get you in touch with Charlie. He's a great guy. Honest and a straight shooter.

I followed Nauti Girl on one of my Shootout runs this year. Nice boat.
