Default 2001 Convincor Stereo Modify

Has anyone modified their stereo in their convincor? Im looking to add 4 6.5 inch speakers in addition to the stock locations to be powered by a 500 watt amp, and two 12" subs will be up in the cabin powered by a 1200 watt amp. Does anyone have pics of where they may have added speakers, Im concerned about cutting holes. Its almost spring, I need to get to work soon!

What size Convincor? I have added 2 10" subs and 4 8" speakers to my cabin, all Memphis Audio. Nothing too crazy, but it sounds good for folks inside the boat.

I don't have any handy, but I'll take some next time I get out to the boat. It's parked in storage all winter.

Keep it simple, if you run all that power youll be draining your batteries hangin at the sand bar all day. In my 253 I had 2 memphis 10" subs and 4 8" mids all running off a 600watt memphis 5 channel amp. Sounded real good and super efficiant, could run all day without killing the batteries.

Daga already have all the equiptment at this point, i just need to find a place to mount 4-6.5 inch speakers, along the bottom of the back seat? Or should i build some side panels so i dont have to cut holes, the subs are going up front, one on each side in front of the curtains facing forward, im about to order the wire and power blocks, i will put a switch on the amps so i can run the stock speakers off just the deck so i can chill at the beach all day and not worry about the battery. Do you have some pics of your boat? [email protected] see you in a few weeks to do some buffing.

Big,

I have a 251 and I currently have 4 6.5's, 2 6x9's, and 2 12'' subs. I will try and snap some pictures, but I too am currently working on wiring and redoing some stuff.

I would be interested in some pics of where you mounted your 12s in the 251. I am working on redoing all speaker locations in mine now. I had a single 12 under the bench seat but it sounded terrible. I am considering putting a 12 on the ledge on either side of the bolsters in small truck boxes, but if they would fit I would consider putting them in the cabin.
