Wrong..spoke with the Factory yesterday...interior should be going in very soon. They just finished the new Checkmate 26 and water tested the boat about 2 weeks ago. The 43 should be soon...

Just what I heard over a few beers at the lake and a few phone conversations.... No biggy.

Ask them why it was at the painters for 6 weeks instead of 3.....

They leased the 42' chief mold and it had been sitting out in the elements for awhile from what I understand. It produced a hull that needed extensive prep work (3 weeks worth).

In another conversation I had on the sand bar I heard of other issues they were having putting things together. I drank a lot that day and cant recall the whole conversation.

Even without being out in the elements that mold has to be over well 10 years old (probably closer to 13 from what I recall reading), so some straightening work would seem to be expected on anything pulled from it. A couple additional weeks straightening/fairing doesn't sound unreasonable.
