Hey guys I'm a Formula guy, don't know much about the Checkmates other then there pretty light and fast, I'm looking for a value on a 2004 Checkmate ZT 280, boat is in good shape, but it has a bad motor, gonna look at it tomorrow to c how interior is, I think its pretty good thou, I'm also not sure what the power plant is, I would think a 502 but not 100% sure, what is this boat worth with a bad motor, and whats it worth with a good motor, trying to see if its worth flipping, there is no trailer, but one might be available,

The 502 was replaced in the early 2000's with the 496 mag & ho. That would be the most common stock, but a blue motor was an option.
