I paid a third party mechanic around $300 to do a compression and leak down test. He took some pictures for me too. Then the owner would still not move on the price despite both motors needing rebuilds. It is still on the market and still priced a little high. But $300 bucks saved me 48 hrs in the truck

That's a good idea having the mechanic take pics while he's checking out the motors.

Anybody have any experience with a wrap or paint? Just wondering about cost and how they hold up? It would be just plain old white.. No graphics.

Talked to them today, it sold

I had my 283 wrapped but prefer a clean gelcoat boat or painted . The wrap was quick and cheap but almost every time someone ties up to me I take some damage from a rope or their goofy bumpers. I would paint it if you are just going solid white. The wrap cost me just over 3k and was done in 4 days. The paintjob was going to be 7k+ and would have it indefinately during the spring. I could keep the wrap nice if I never tied off to others.
