Looking for an aluminum swim platform for my 1996 253 convincor. Currently have the factory fiberglass one and was wondering if anyone made something that would bolt into existing holes? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

I have the same model and when I checked a couple of years ago, nobody made an aluminum tube one that would bolt in the stock location. I think Dana Marine might make a billet one that is close though.

It’s not your typical small block, but I personally feel that’s how our 253’s should have come from the factory. It handles so much better than it did with the 454 that was in it, especially in rougher waters. I was originally worried about how it was going to do since I dropped about 520-540lbs out of the transom, I thought it might be out of balance. It wasn’t at all. It carries the nose awesome!!! So far I have seen 75mph on GPS, but I have some playing to do with props. That speed was at 5600-5700 rpms, I need to get that up to 6000-6100 where the engine makes peak power. I’m thinking it will be in the upper 70’s, maybe even knocking on 80mph when I get it dialed in. I think that’s pretty respectable for a 25’ boat with a N/A small block.
