So, you had five, six Checkmates.....to be honest I've lost count at this point.
And all of them had cracked transoms and/or the motor fell off the back.

I never had a problem with my 16. It was an old one too. 1976 or 78 with a 89 Merc 225. I sold it to a friend of mine after beating the crap out of it through my late teen/early 20s. Funny because he had it sitting for 5 years and about a month ago decided to redo the entire boat. It's in the shop now getting rigged. I can't wait to take it out again...
