42's on the lot at LOTO!
 

I have the pleasure of having both 42 Chief's on the lot at this time. The 2013 Race edition and 2015 42 Pleasure. If anyone has questions or would like to see them please stop by. We would love to show you around.

The only difference I know of is people's opinions of them!
All of them are awesome boats and would be happy to own any one of them.

It really was not at all rough when I rode in either one. Only hit a few 3+ footers and they were nothing for either boat.
Rode in Warpath late Thurs and the pleasure 42 late Sunday. I thought both rode best at 60+mph to let steps do their job.
Warpath accelerated like it was supercharged. The pleasure 42 still had the engines at 80% power in break in mode.

How efficient are those power plants.

The flowscans on Warpath showed 2.0mpg at 60 mph.

Nice boats and seen them both in Miami 2014. The couple that had the Chief (owners) built were very nice and took a lot time to talk about whatever you wanted to.

Just asking how many hours are on the new Chief boat currently as I would think the engines are still being broken in so true top speed is still unknown ?

There have been a bunch of double posts since yesterday. Its an OSO issue.

Warpath has more hours on it than the pleasure boat. It's raced overseas, Key West, etc. The pleasure boat had a linkage issue keeping it from full throttle that is now fixed. It's time to test some props when it warms up.

The V10's drop down to 5 cylinders at idle, no super chargers, run on pump gas and make 725hp.

2 MPG?!?!?! UGH. my hustler gets like feet to the gallon :drink:

Which boat handles better?

Warpath is a crash box surface drive boat. They are two different animals. Both handled LOTO slop very good. If I was going to pleasure boat 90%+ of the time I'd go with the Ilmor drive boat. Docking Warpath can be challenging if used only for a pleasure boat. Both boats have the same hull design.

So it's the crash box difference? Wonder how it would be if both had a velvet drive?

Old thread... but these 2 boats are awesome. I saw Warpath up close in Key West about 5 yrs ago. Its the ultimate wave crusher and just a cool looking boat with the Arensons. Any updates on these boats? Any speed numbers?

While it's a Checkmate build it is of course a Chief. Not positive but might be the fastest one..
