Not sure. Kind of holding off.
I was hoping for a more central spot.
But with that comes docking issues.
The attraction to this thunder by the river thing was existing infrastructure (vendors, food, bands, bikini contest) and the fact that you can come and go from your designated slip to go for rides or side trips.

That sounds like a good way to spend a weekend.I'm in the Kansas City area but I would probably haul up for this event.I'd really enjoy seeing everyones hard work and cool ideas.I am just finishing up new interior, cabin doors, zero effort controls, gauges and many other upgrades.Hopefully with the long weekend coming up I can get the engines in and get a test run.Would Toledo be a close location of where this would be held?

If we do... the Toledo guys would be able to help get the docks, get boats launched, etc.
We have access to some hoists and some ramps. There is a ramp right across the river from the event.
Toledo is a 30-40 minute go fast ride to/from Put In Bay and Kelleys, and a 15 minute ride from Maumee Bay State Park.
(Weather permitting.)

Kind of stalled.
Maybe I can get Glassdave to check with his friend the dock guy about availability and see if we can get the CCs together location-wise.

Ok, sounds good, i'm still not sure if I'll be able to make it depending on location. I'm not sure about the ol' 168 in rough water--it didn't do bad in the main lake at Lake Cumberland but that probably doesn't compare to Erie or someplace bigger.

If the location is the Maumee, you could drop the boat in across the river and you would be in protected waters.
I wouldn't take a 16 to the Islands from Toledo tho....

Here's a decent marine weather forcast if you ever need to see what their forcasting for the wave conditions. This weekend you would probably be fine in a 16' but it's usually not that calm.

yeah I know, I was really just posing that for the website in case he wanted to bring the boat up for the stingerfest and try to run to the islands.
What is the mills race? I see that on the calender but have no idea what it is. I may run to pib this weekend if the weather holds but I'm really not in to the thunderstorm on the boat thing.
